Steve Ball has more than 30 year of experience in the title insurance industry where he has specialized in subdivision, commercial, and complex land transactions.

Steve began his career with First American Title Insurance Company in 1979 while attending Loyola Law School. Steve gained experience from the ground up starting work posting documents to the geographic folders in the title plant. He then went on to work in customer service, eventually becoming a title searcher. While in his 3rd year at Loyola Law School, he began to work in the legal department at First American writing briefs and analyzing real estate cases which had a material impact on the real estate industry. Upon completion of law school, he was hired as subdivision attorney and proceeded to study the Subdivision Map Act over the course of the next year. He then went on to become Subdivision Manager, a position he held for over 20 years. During this time, Steve worked very closely with law firms and developers building an excellent reputation and expertise in the industry. As Senior Vice President of National Homebuilder Services, he handled reinsurance and worked with clients on a national basis. Steve went to work for Fidelity National Title in 2008 where he worked for 3 years as a Vice President, commercial title officer, underwriter and attorney. Steven F. Ball Consulting was formed in September 2011 offering due diligence and expert witness services.

Steve has worked extensively with many developers including The Irvine Company, Rancho Mission Viejo and Mission Viejo Company (now Shea Homes) and builders including Shea Homes, Standard Pacific Homes, KB Home, Lennar Homes, Brookfield Homes, Centex Homes and many others.

Steve Ball has been active in the community serving on the Board of Directors of the American Red Cross and the St. Joseph Hospital Foundation. Steve was Nation Chief for the Indian Guides program in Laguna Niguel overseeing 17 tribes. He also served on the Board of Directors of the Santa Ana City Chamber of Commerce from 1996 through 2004 and served as Chairman of the Board for three years. As Chairman, he traveled on behalf of the Chamber to Matsudo, Japan on two separate occasions to meet with the Chairman and Board of the Matsudo Chamber of Commerce. Steve was also previously involved with USC Marshall Partners in Orange County.
